- Getting there
- On Shonin-ga-hama beach north of central Beppu, inside the TKP SHONIN PARK complex, with 104 free parking spaces. This replaces the old municipal Beppu Kaihin Sunayu, which the city closed on 31 March 2023; the new sand bath opened on 24 July 2025, so older guidebooks and travel sites still show the municipal prices and hours.
