The largest tub of any Beppu municipal bathhouse, divided into hot and lukewarm halves, with an entrance ramp, a lift and bathing wheelchairs for visitors who need them. The water is a plain simple spring and the building is functional rather than atmospheric, so come for the price and the ease of getting in.

Indoor bath

The largest tub of any Beppu municipal bathhouse, split into atsu-yu (hot) and nuru-yu (lukewarm). Barrier-free: entrance ramp, elevator for visually impaired users, bathing wheelchairs, grab rails.

Municipal bathhouse. Children 100 yen; under school age free. Closed the 1st Monday of the month. Beppu City's tourism site lists 300 yen for this bath, which contradicts the city's own facility page - the 250 yen figure here is from the city page.

Getting there: In central Beppu, a short walk from JR Beppu Station. Nine free parking spaces; bathers can also park 1 hour free at Tsurumi Car Park.
