Open-air bath
Sorayu, a top-floor viewing open-air bath about 250 m above sea level. Restricted to guests of the Sora wing and the higher Hoshi wing room types.
Private (kashikiri) bath
Private baths marketed as 'Oita Goyu'. Availability for day visitors is not stated on the official site.
A private bath means nobody else is in the water with you — often the practical answer if the shared baths are closed to tattooed guests.

Bath and face towels are lent free even to day visitors.

- On the Kankaiji hillside above central Beppu at 1 Kankaiji; a free shuttle runs from JR Beppu Station. Under Oita's prefectural ordinance, children aged 7 and over may no longer be taken into the bath of the opposite sex.
