A large milky-white rock bath on the highest hillside in Beppu, open to Mt Tsurumi, Mt Takasaki and the arch of the Myoban Bridge, with steam drifting up from the thatched yunohana sheds below. Facilities are basic and it fills on fine afternoons, but for setting and for water this is the pick of Beppu's open-air baths.
