Staying overnight
Tattoos are not allowed in the shared baths. A private or in-room bath is available, which usually means you can still bathe — but this has not been confirmed with the facility.

The baths
Indoor bath
Shared bath on the inn's own source, a cold salt-bearing spring (weakly radioactive sodium-chloride) heated to 40.5-41.5C. Open 15:00-1:00 and 5:00-10:00 for staying guests; renewed in July 2026.
Private (kashikiri) bath
Private bath "Utakata": only for guests in the Mizuori rooms. Book a 45-minute slot at check-in (16:00-22:45; no advance booking), then free use 7:00-10:00.
In-room bath
The Otona no Kyujitsu special rooms and the suites have a semi-open-air bath in the room. Note the 2025 suites state their room bath is artificial hot-spring water (Komyo stone), not the inn's spring.
A private bath means nobody else is in the water with you — often the practical answer if the shared baths are closed to tattooed guests.

- On Miyajima island: ferry from Miyajimaguchi (about 10 minutes), and the inn runs a car pick-up from the ferry gate on the island, crowding permitting. Leave a car at the paid car parks at Miyajimaguchi.
