The baths
Indoor bath
Third-floor large baths, one with a loyly sauna and one with a steam sauna (both rebuilt in March 2023). Men's and women's sides swap in the morning. Open 5:00-9:30 and 11:00-24:00 for staying guests.
Open-air bath
Open-air baths off the third-floor bathhouse, plus the rooftop viewing baths 'Hoshi no Yu' and 'Nami no Yu' for staying guests only. IMPORTANT: the third-floor open-air bath is closed for rebuilding from 1 October 2026 to about the end of December 2026 - the indoor bath stays open, and the rooftop baths, normally shut for winter from 1 December, will run during the works instead. The rooftop baths are otherwise closed 1 December to the end of February, and may close in bad weather at any time.
Private (kashikiri) bath
Two rooftop private open-air baths, 'Sansan' and 'Toutou', 5,500 yen for 50 minutes, by reservation, 14:00-21:50 and 6:00-9:50. Staying guests only - day visitors cannot book them. Subject to the same winter and bad-weather closures as the rooftop baths.
A private bath means nobody else is in the water with you — often the practical answer if the shared baths are closed to tattooed guests.

- ¥1,6001,600 yen for adults, 800 yen for elementary school children, one pre-school child free per adult. A bathing towel is lent free in the changing room; a bath towel is 330 yen. Day visitors use the third-floor bath only - the rooftop open-air baths and the private open-air baths are for staying guests.

- Getting there
- In the historic port of Tomonoura, on a headland with the sea on three sides. From JR Fukuyama Station south exit, the Tomotetsu bus runs to Tomonoura every 15-20 minutes and takes about 30 minutes; the hotel also runs a free shuttle from the same exit, shared with three sister inns, which must be booked by the day before. Fukuyama is about 23 minutes from Hiroshima and 15 from Okayama by shinkansen. Staying guests can also use the baths at the sister inn Keishokan Rentei, five minutes' walk away, 15:00-22:00.
