The baths
Indoor bath
Large shared bath on the ground floor. Swimsuits are not allowed in the shared bath.
Open-air bath
Open-air bath beside the large bath on the ground floor.
In-room bath
Several room types have their own bath: all-hinoki open-air bath rooms, junior suites whose open-air bath looks toward Itsukushima Shrine (the Great Torii is partly behind trees), and sea-side royal suites with a semi-open-air bath, cold plunge and sauna. Check-out for rooms with an open-air bath is 11:00 instead of 10:00.
A private bath means nobody else is in the water with you — often the practical answer if the shared baths are closed to tattooed guests.

- On Miyajima island, about 3 minutes on foot from Itsukushima Shrine. A hotel microbus meets guests at the Miyajima ferry pier; phone before boarding at Miyajimaguchi.
