Two separate sources under one roof, which is unusual: the open-air bath runs on a weak radioactive cold mineral spring carrying radon, the indoor baths on an alkaline simple spring, and the inn publishes both analyses in full. Everything else is a big, comfortable seaside resort hotel - a bay view from the rooms, a buffet, banquet floors. Day visitors pay 1,600 yen, but the hotel does not say when they are admitted, so ring first. Tattoos are refused from the baths, and there are no private ones.

Every onsen on this site is scored against the same written rubric, and every score has been reviewed by the editor. The ones marked Visited were also bathed in personally.

The baths

Open-air bath

Open-air bath fed by the second source, a weak radioactive (radon-bearing) cold mineral spring of 24.8C that is heated to about 41.5C for the tubs.

Open to day visitors

Indoor bath

Men's and women's main baths on the first source, an alkaline simple spring of 26.3C heated to about 41C, with warm tubs, lying-down baths and a sauna. Bathing runs to midnight and again from 05:00 to 09:30 with the sexes swapped.

Open to day visitors
