A plain municipal bath on the reservoir in the Gokayama valley, whose open-air bath opens onto the water and the mountains behind it. Notably easy to reach without a car for somewhere this deep in the mountains - the World Heritage bus stops a minute away - which makes it a good bath stop between the gassho-zukuri villages and Shirakawa-go. Spring quality is left unscored because no analysis is published.

Getting there
On the reservoir shore at Hosojima in the Gokayama valley, in the Kamitaira district of Nanto. Get off the Sekai Isan (World Heritage) bus at Hosojima and it is a minute on foot; that bus links Takaoka and Shin-Takaoka with the Gokayama gassho-zukuri villages and Shirakawa-go, so you can break the journey here. By car it is about 2 minutes from the Gokayama interchange. The Suganuma World Heritage village is a short drive up the valley.
