Indoor bath
Sodium bicarbonate spring, opened 1965 and re-drilled in 1989 when the flow weakened. Roughly 10-tatami bathroom with a single rounded tub in the middle; three steps down from the changing area, with no partition between the two. The tank is cleaned annually and scale removed every two months.

- At 15-8 Kamitanoyu-cho, in the hills just west of JR Beppu Station. Unusually for a neighbourhood bath it has a large car park with 8 spaces, so it is easy to reach by car.
