A day-use bathhouse in the middle of the Unzen village that also rents rooms without meals. The water is 100% free-flowing spring water, and there is an open-air bath plus a private family bath - the private one matters, because it is the cheapest way for a couple with tattoos to bathe in Unzen at around 2,500 yen for the hour. Ordinary building in an ordinary village street; the reason to come is the water and the private room, not the architecture.

Getting there
In the Unzen Onsen village at Unzen 380, on the same strip as the shops and a walk from the Unzen Jigoku steam vents. Unzen is reached by Shimatetsu bus from Isahaya Station (about 1 hour 15 minutes) or Kenei bus from Nagasaki Station (about 1 hour 40 minutes). The inn also takes room-only overnight guests from 5,500 yen per person.
