The bath on Ioujima, at a resort half an hour off Nagasaki: a viewing open-air bath that faces straight out to sea, a garden open-air bath of free-flowing water, and a slightly salty spring drawn from 1,180 m down. Open to day visitors until 23:00 for 800 yen on weekdays. It is also the tattoo answer for the Nagasaki area - a small tattoo is fine under a cover sticker, whereas the big bathhouse in the city refuses tattoos outright. Getting there means the free shuttle from Nagasaki Station or the boat.

800 yen for adults and 500 yen for elementary school children on weekdays; 1,000 yen and 700 yen at weekends and on public holidays; free for ages 6 and under. In the summer period the resort charges the weekend rate every day - in 2026 that ran from 4 July to 31 August.

Getting there
On Ioujima, an island off Nagasaki reached by bridge or by boat. The resort runs a free shuttle bus from Nagasaki Station taking about 45 minutes; by boat from Nagasaki Port the ticket is paid separately and the resort front desks are about a 5-minute walk from Ioujima port.
