How it scores
Every onsen on this site is scored on the same five things.
The baths
Open-air bath
Open-air only, with SEPARATE men's and women's changing rooms and tubs - not mixed. The river side of the bath is open with no screen, so you look straight out at the Gamata River and the Okuhida mountains. Unstaffed, and facilities are minimal; bring your own towel and soap.
