The baths
Open-air bath
Noten-buro, the garden open-air bath on the first floor of the Sansui-kaku wing. Open 5:00-24:00 for guests.
Indoor bath
View bath on the ninth floor of the Hisen-kaku wing, looking over the town; available 24 hours to guests.
Indoor bath
Shimodame-no-Yu, a cypress-lined indoor bath on the third floor of the Rinsen-kaku wing. Overnight guests only.
Private (kashikiri) bath
Two private baths, Shichiri-no-Yu and Oribe-no-Yu, 3,300 yen for 60 minutes each, bookable 10:00-21:00. IMPORTANT: this does not create a route in for tattooed guests - the private-bath page carries the same refusal-of-entry notice as the rest of the hotel.
A private bath means nobody else is in the water with you — often the practical answer if the shared baths are closed to tattooed guests.
