The public bath of Iwai, one of the oldest spa villages in the San'in region, known for 'yukamuri' - locals put a towel on their head and ladle hot water over it. The calcium-sodium sulphate spring wells up in a corner of the car park and reaches the tub at the right temperature, 100% free-flowing with nothing added. Iwai is a small, quiet village inland from the Uradome coast, with little else to do on foot.

JR San'in Line to Iwami Station (about 20 minutes from Tottori), then a Nihon Kotsu bus bound for Iwai Onsen, about 10 minutes, to the Iwai Onsen stop - the bath is by the stop. Direct buses from Tottori Station bus terminal take about 60 minutes.
