Two large indoor bathhouses: Honjin Daiyokuden on the first floor of the Tenryo-kaku wing, and Tenryo-no-Yu 'Fuga' in the basement of the main building.

Open-air bath
Both bathhouses have open-air baths - a cypress tub and a rock tub in the garden at Honjin Daiyokuden, and a high-concentration carbonated open-air bath at Tenryo-no-Yu 'Fuga'.

- ¥1,500Adult 1,500 yen, elementary school child 750 yen, infant (3-5) 300 yen, face towel included. A book of 8 tickets is 10,000 yen, valid six months. Which bathhouse you get depends on the day: the Honjin Daiyokuden on Friday to Sunday daytimes and every evening, the Tenryo-no-Yu 'Fuga' on Monday to Thursday daytimes. No reservation needed and there are 250 parking spaces. Children still in nappies cannot bathe.

- In Takayama city, about a 10-minute walk from JR Takayama Station and close to the old merchant quarter, so it works as a bath at the end of a day of sightseeing rather than a trip in itself. 250 parking spaces if you are driving.
