The baths
Open-air bath
'Kiyora no Yu' at the very bottom of the Iya gorge, reached ONLY by the hotel's own funicular, which takes about 5 minutes to descend a 42-degree cliff face - the ride itself is the attraction, and the car was rebuilt in spring 2023. The bath is built out over the Iya river so the water is at eye level with the rapids; the source wells up in such volume that the hotel describes the bubbles clinging to you like champagne. Free-flowing, self-pouring source.
Indoor bath
'Sora no Yu', the observation bathhouse up at hotel level, built with no visual boundary between the indoor tub and the sky over the gorge. 11:30-10:00 for staying guests, 7:30-17:00 for day visitors.
Private (kashikiri) bath
Private open-air bath 'Yamagiri no Yu'. The hotel's FAQ states explicitly that both staying and day-use guests can use it.
A private bath means nobody else is in the water with you — often the practical answer if the shared baths are closed to tattooed guests.

- Yes — you can bathe without staying overnight.7:30-17:00, reception closes at 16:00 because of the cable-car ride down. The observation bathhouse is closed on Wednesdays (moved to another day when Wednesday is a public holiday).

- ¥700700 yen adult / 300 yen child buys the indoor observation bathhouse only. To ride the cable car down to the open-air bath in the gorge the price is 2,000 yen adult / 1,000 yen child, which covers the cable car plus both the open-air bath and the observation bath.

- A single isolated inn deep in the Iya valley, roughly an hour by car from JR Oboke Station; a rental car or taxi is effectively required. The valley is the same area as the Kazurabashi vine bridge.
