Sells itself as one of the strongest bicarbonate (baking-soda) springs in the Kanto region - a sodium chloride and hydrogen-carbonate cold mineral spring that leaves the skin feeling smooth, which is where the 'beautiful skin' label comes from. The official site does not say whether the water is circulated, so it is scored as an ordinary spring until that is confirmed. Rest rooms, bedrock bathing and a restaurant make it a place to spend half a day. It sits on the riverbank outside town with nothing else within walking distance.

At Kobashira on the Arakawa river between Chichibu and Minano. From Seibu-Chichibu Station take the Seibu Kanko Bus Chichibu-Yoshida line and get off at Kobashira; alternatively about 10 minutes by taxi from Minano Station on the Chichibu Railway. Parking for 75 cars.
