The baths
Indoor bath
Drawn from 1,200 m below Sagano - the first sodium-calcium chloride spring found in the Kyoto basin, unusually saline for a site this far inland. Carbonated baths are run at weekends and on public holidays. Saunas differ by side: a tower loyly sauna for men, a radium salt sauna and a rocky sauna for women, with aufguss sessions every odd hour from 13:00. There are also two foot baths, one of them free-standing in a coworking space.

- Yes — you can bathe without staying overnight.10:00-24:00, last entry 23:00. Closed the third Monday of each month (the following day if that Monday is a public holiday).
- Day visit price
- ¥1,200Adults 1,200 yen on weekdays and 1,300 yen at weekends and on public holidays; children aged 4 to primary school 550 yen; under-4s free. Membership (200 yen to join) drops the adult rate to 1,050 / 1,100 yen. Towel set rental 250 yen, house wear 350 yen, both together 500 yen. It is an admission-based facility, so you can re-enter the baths as often as you like during your stay, including after eating or a massage. No reservation needed.
