Is Okinawa tattoo friendly?
Mostly not, but there are exceptions. Of the 11 onsen we have checked in Okinawa, 1 let you into the shared baths with tattoos showing; 2 let you in if you cover them with a patch. 7 turn tattooed bathers away, and 1 publishes no rule we could confirm. Each count comes from the facility’s own published rule. Some inns treat day visitors and overnight guests differently, so a place counts here if either one is let in — each card below says which.
