The baths
Indoor bath
Unusually, the men's and women's baths are in two separate buildings facing each other across the street - rare anywhere in Japan. The men's building is a heavy Tenpyo-style hall with a deep waist-high tub; the women's is a lighter, curved building next door to the Yamanaka-za theatre. Simple alkaline water. Indoor tubs only.

- At the top of the Yuge-kaido shopping street in Yamanaka Onsen, Kaga City, next to the Yamanaka-za theatre and a short walk from the Kakusenkei gorge path. Nearest station JR Kagaonsen on the Hokuriku Shinkansen, then a bus or taxi up the valley.
