Indoor bath
Two bathrooms, 'Kata-no-yu' looking out over Lake Shibayama and 'Mori-no-yu' facing the trees; men and women swap between them daily, so which one you get depends on the day. The building is a glass box by a well-known architect on the lake shore, with the Hakusan range beyond, and there is an open-terrace cafe upstairs (11:00-16:00, closed Thursdays).

- On the shore of Lake Shibayama in Katayamazu Onsen, Kaga City - the third of the three Kaga hot spring villages along with Yamashiro and Yamanaka. Nearest station JR Kagaonsen on the Hokuriku Shinkansen, then bus or taxi; the local CANBUS loop links the three villages.
