An old-fashioned town bathhouse raised a floor above the sand, so the wide windows put Shirarahama's white beach and the blue sea straight in front of the tub - technically an indoor bath, effectively a sea-view one. Facilities are basic and it shuts for three hours in the middle of the day, so check the hours before walking over.

The baths

Indoor bath

The bath is on the first floor above ground level, and the town's own description is that 'from the wide-open windows you look out over blue sea and pure white sand' - Shirarahama, Shirahama's famous white-sand swimming beach, is directly in front. An indoor bath, but effectively a sea-view one.
