The baths
Indoor bath
KAMI-NO-YU, the main bath, in a three-storey wooden bathhouse of 1894 that is one of the oldest working bathhouses in Japan and a designated Important Cultural Property. Granite tubs under a high ceiling; the water is a plain alkaline simple spring, undiluted. Everything is indoors - there is no open-air bath at the Honkan.
Indoor bath
TAMA-NO-YU, the smaller and quieter historic bath, included in the higher-priced courses along with tea and a sweet in a tatami lounge and a look at the Yushinden imperial bath chamber and the Botchan room.

- Yes — you can bathe without staying overnight.6:00-23:00 for the ground-floor Kami-no-Yu bath (last tickets 22:30); all other courses 6:00-22:00.

- ¥700Adult 700 yen / child 350 yen for the basic Kami-no-Yu bath. Other courses: Kami-no-Yu bath + second-floor lounge 1,300 / 650; Kami-no-Yu or Tama-no-Yu bath + Tama-no-Yu second-floor lounge 2,000 / 1,000; Tama-no-Yu with a third-floor private room 2,500 / 1,250. Two reservable private ROOMS opened with the reopening - Shirasagi-no-Ma 6,000 yen per group plus 1,300 / 650 per person, Hisho-no-Ma 3,000 yen per group plus 1,300 / 650. A 3-bathhouse pass covering Honkan, Asuka-no-Yu and Tsubaki-no-Yu costs 1,440 yen adult / 680 yen child from 1 September 2026.

- About 5 minutes on foot from the Dogo Onsen terminus of the Iyotetsu tram, roughly 20-25 minutes by tram from Matsuyama city centre and JR Matsuyama Station. No car needed.
