Cloudy white acidic Sengokuhara water straight from the source, usable around the clock - the most distinctive water of any property here. Only thirteen rooms, set on the Sengokuhara plateau, but the in-room baths are heated tap water and there is no shuttle from the bus stop.

The baths

Indoor bath

Separate men's and women's public baths using cloudy white Sengokuhara onsen straight from the source (acidic calcium-sulphate spring), usable 24 hours; staff enter for cleaning and patrols.

Private (kashikiri) bath

Two reservable private open-air baths (Masa-no-yu, Mori-no-yu) with a micro-bubble silky bath, a one-person sauna (max 65C), a cold-water tub and a shower. RESERVATION REQUIRED, 45-minute slots, 15:00-23:00 (last start 22:00) and 8:00-10:00 (last start 9:00), booked in order of arrival. The official site does NOT state whether there is an extra charge, nor whether non-staying guests may use them.

In-room bath

ALL 13 guest rooms across the three room types have a private semi-open-air bath; the official site states it is heated tap water (沸かし湯), NOT hot-spring water.

A private bath means nobody else is in the water with you — often the practical answer if the shared baths are closed to tattooed guests.

Nearest stop is the Hakone Tozan Bus stop Kozuka-iriguchi on the Odawara/Hakone-Yumoto to Togendai line, about a 10-minute walk; from Gora it is a 13-minute bus ride plus a 10-minute walk from the Pola Museum stop. No hotel shuttle is advertised, so a car is convenient; the 13 parking spaces must be reserved in advance.
